So, yes, we finally left the cold small town we'd been living in for two years for our new home; a hot small town (though not nearly as small). Just the thought of the long car trip had us all hitting the sauce pretty hard. This was Cormick's third beer and given the fact he only weighs 35 lbs, he was pretty loopy.

However, Cormick did very well on the trip. He seemed to be pretty content to be in his car seat so long as he got to watch his favorite DVD over, and over, and over again. I hate that DVD.

Along the way, we had a chance to stop in Minnesota and visit Betsy. While there, Cormick got to experience his first lake.

Although he liked the lake, he wasn't sure he actually wanted to go in it. So everytime Tim tried to get his feet in the water, he did the splits.

Eventually, though, he let Tim put him in the water and he really enjoyed it.
We also had a chance to visit Grandma and Grandpa! Cormick was extremely happy with this turn of events.

It's you Grandma!

Riding the rooster (not a euphemism)

Cormick got to go to COSI while he was visiting his grandparents. It's a very cool interactive museum/play area. Here he is trying to catch the floating ball.

Cormick also had a chance to visit the zoo with his cousins, Grandma, and Uncle (none of whom appear in this picture).

We were at the grandparents' house for the 4th of July. The only "fireworks" we tried out were sparklers and while Cormick liked them, he was a little afraid too.

Sparklers on 4th of July with Dad

Looking up at the sky at the fireworks

Cormick wasn't so sure about the sparklers at first but he got used to them eventually
