Moving away from the purpose of this blog for a minute, I thought I'd show a picture of what I did this weekend. Fun! As it turns out, being the mother of a toddler is the perfect training for being a dog sled driver. I used the exact same tone of voice - "Stop biting. You heard me, stop biting." And, "What's that in your mouth? Spit it out. Spit it out right now!" The most humorous part of the trip was when we were going uphill and the dogs were struggling slightly they'd turn around and look at me with a pleading expression on their faces as if to say, "From now on lady, no dessert . . . okay?"

I sometimes take Cormick to the bouncy castle (a big inflatable castle that kids can injure themselves and others in by bouncing and being bounced). He's not much of a risk taker as you can see from this photo.

We went to Fargo last week and while I was tied up with a doctor's appointment for a few hours, Tim took Cormick to a children's museum. Since I didn't go with them, when I downloaded the pictures, I didn't understand some of them. Like this for example. This was the first photo I saw. What the heck is my son doing milking a fake cow; especially since it's clear from the photo that some form of liquid is coming out of the cow's utters.

Here's the second picture I saw. This time Cormick is randomly in a bee costume playing with a toy train.

Once I saw the hive in the background then the bee costume at least made a little more sense. Milking the fake cow . . . well, it never made more sense.

At least I understand this one

This is the way Cormick likes to kick it nowadays.

Here is a short picture version of how to get Cormick ready to go outside in the cold. First, the balaclava and the boots. Doesn't he look like he should fighting a dragon soon (or perhaps fighting a windmill for his fair maiden Dulcinea).

Now the snowsuit . . .

When Cormick and Tim went for a walk this afternoon, Cormick saw me in the basement and stopped to say hello

I think this whole series of photos Tim took are hilarious. But they have to be viewed as a whole to get a sense of what meal time with Cormick is like. There's 17 pictures in all.

One of the prettiest things during the winter here is when it's cold enough for ice particles to form. As they sun strikes them, they look like tiny glittering diamonds. This picture doesn't do them justice.
