We received something in the mail today that was shipped with packing popcorn. I let Cormick dump them out and romp and play. The following pictures show the result of his activities with the popcorn.

In my post yesterday I said that I wasn't sure whether Cormick would be able to right himself from a lying down position in his new snowsuit. Fortunately, Cormick obliged us by falling down and we were able to witness firsthand whether he could accomplish this difficult manuever. Before calling Child Protective Services, you should know that he was not crying or in harms way while I snapped these next couple of photos.

He begins to try and right himself by rolling around . . .

Still rolling around . . .

And see, he does manage to sit up. But that's as far as he could get on his own.

Could his face appear any rounder? I don't think so.

Despite having a delicious Thanksgiving meal prepared for him, Cormick refused to eat it.

This was Cormick's first day in the new snowsuit. Even though there is no snow on the ground it was COLD. I know the suit looks pretty puffy, but it wasn't A Christmas Story situation as the next few pictures demonstrate.

He can squat . . .

He can run . . .

He can even turn around. He never fell, though, so we can't be 100% sure he'd be able to get up on his own.

Why does he look as if he's been caught doing something he shouldn't and now he's trying to appear innocent? Check out the next two pictures.

Well well well. What do we have here? Cormick moved the toy oven over to the kitchen cabinets so he could climb into the sink and turn the water on full blast. What a great new trick.

Water from the sink that he is squirting in his face (and all over the kitchen). Yet, it kept him busy for a good 20 minutes so I just kept taking pictures.

Because of the cold weather, this is where Cormick can be found most of the time nowadays; his carseat. We continue to search vainly for something to keep him occupied around town since he cannot go outside for longer than five minutes.

This is a video of Cormick and Ingrid running down the street on Halloween night. They kept chasing one another and giggling. The video quality isn't great but it's better if you click on the "YouTube" icon at the bottom right of the image and watch it on their website. It certainly gives you a sense of the chaos that was Halloween night. Plus, it's sort of funny how Cormick runs right up to the camera at the very end.

Halloween night -- finally! Cormick wasn't going to be teased anymore about inappropriately wearing a costume.

Finally, a happy lion. We just needed to wait for the big night. His torso remained remarkably warm. Unfortunately, he sustained frost bite in every area not covered by fake lion fur.

Yup. He loves knocking on doors - incessentantly in fact. To the point that people are forced to give a fake half-smile and say "he sure is persistent, isn't he?" No candy of course. I wasn't going to be one of those parents carrying their infant and knocking on doors while holding out a candy bag and intoning "Trick or Treat!" I wanted to ask one of them, "So it's your baby who's going to be scarfing down those 'Dots' later tonight, is it?"

We went to downtown's Halloween celebration. Yes, this is costume number two. I couldn't resist. Next year, he'll begin wanting to dress in all black with "real" blood squirting out of his mask so I had to get my embarassingly cute and kitchy fix now.

As you can guess, a lollipop and a lion costume are not the best mix -- he kept at it, though, and disregarded the mounting hairs on the sucker until he hawked out a large furball
